Right Wing Nutters

I find it to be absolutely hilarious that republicans are going crazy over Obama. I do not support our current president by a long shot, but I find it funny that he's been in office less than a year and has hardly accomplished anything, yet he's been compared to hitler because he's a "socialist"

These same people stood by while President Bush ravaged our country and did more harm to America than Obama could dream of.

Bush lied about WMDs as a justifcation to go to war with a country (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14767199/)
He defied the United Nations and many occasions, including going to war with Iraq and allowed the use of torture which the UN was against.
He had created a state of fear within our own country (9/11 and our Police Force) and showed blatant disregard for the average citizen.

All of these things made the United States into a Rogue Nation. We are no better than Iran or China.

Now Obama comes along and has some socialist ideas and the Republicans freak out. "Oh Crap!" They scream, "We don't know what socialist means, so we're going to equate it with Communism and since we know how bad communists were, we're going to compare Obama with Hitler. And he hasn't even done anything yet!"

Folks, Socialism means government run. Schools, the Fire Department, The Police, The Military and many many more things are all socialised. People are too stupid and blinded by illogical rage brought on by corporations such as Fox News that they don't think for themselves.

People blame Obama for the Economy when Bush is the one that got us trillions of dollars in debt and started the FIRST economic stimulus package that failed. Yet Obama tried it once as well and is getting the full blame.

They yell at him for sending more troops to Afghanistan instead of Iraq even though Bush didn't send enough troops in the first place.

They blame Obama for rising unemployment even it started to go up under Bush and he did almost nothing to help it except give more money to the rich.

You also hear Republicans scream that Obama wants to take our constitutional rights away and that if anyone supports Obama that they are Godless, Socilist Communists who should get the hell out of the country. The huge amount of hypocrisy here is astounding.

They desperately cling to the notion that Obama isn't an American citizen and that he has not produce his birth certificate, even though it has and has been verified by Congress.

It has gotten so petty and childish that they've taken to giving nicknames to things like CNN (Communist News Network) and  CBS (Communist Birthing Service). Everything is a fear tactic with Republicans and it is being perpetuated by the lies and filth that Fox News spreads. Fox News may be the biggest News Corporation but if you've watch 5 minutes of it you know that they are constantly hounding on Obama, whereas they heaped nothing but praise on Bush.

They are even endorsing these Tea parties which I also find hilarious because Fox news is literrally coming out and saying "GO and speak out against the Obama administration".

Normally I'd find nothing wrong with speaking out against the government as I believe the government should be mistrusted at all costs, however when you claim to be a news organization and all you do is broadcast hatred and fear 24/7, then you should be looked at a little closer by the government, because I'll tell you right now people, Fox News organization is a Terror Organization.

The Start of it all

Well, I came up with the idea to start this blog after getting fed up with the number of news stories out there that just plain make me angry. I'm not too articulate in person and I can be as eloquent as I need to be in cyberspace. I find it easier to put my thoughts to the keyboard instead of stuttering and allowing confusion to take control.

This is a medium where I can vent my frustrations at the world as a whole. This blog won't be for everyone and it probably won't be for very many people. It will be very political and religious. If at anytime you start to wonder about which way my views lean, look at my user name. The Secular Humanist.

Secular: A position that religious belief should not influence public and governmental decisions

Humanist:  a comprehensive life stance that upholds human reason, ethics, and justice, and rejects supernaturalism, pseudoscience, and superstition.

This is me in a nutshell. I am an atheist, I no longer believe in God and I definitely don't believe in religion. I find that most humans do despicable things in the name of religion and that right now, in America at least, that we have lost all reason.

Here we have one man, whether you agree with him politically or not trying to give every single person in the United States health care that they can afford. It's not free health care as somebody has to pay for it and that somebody are the tax payers. You have a man (whom I don't really agree with in the first place and didn't vote for) who may not have the best things in mind for our country when it comes to our freedoms (renewing illegal wiretapping laws and renewing the patriot act) but is doing the single best thing for it's people. He's trying to give them their lives.

Agree, disagree, I don't care. Complain about who is going to pay for health care and cry and throw a fit that it will be coming out of your pocket, but do you know what? I don't freaking care if they raise taxes if it means that a little boy or girl can get treated for a disease or sickness that it so common that a simple visit to the doctor for anti-biotics can fix it. I know people who are so sick at times that they can't work. My wife was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder earlier this year and has been suffering with it for most of her life. Most people don't understand the disease and would write it off as simple mood swings when in reality that it can be quite debilitating. If you've never lived with someone who can be so down one week that they can think nothing about harming themselves and there is no reason for it and then the next week that they are so manic and high that they honestly think that if they jumped in front of a bus that they wouldn't get hurt then you wouldn't know how hard it is for that person to hold down a job. It's not for lack of trying or them being lazy. I know Gem wants to work more than anything in the world but she cannot because she actually ruined her resume due to her illness. She didn't mean to, she tried to work while she was untreated and un-medicated and in the end it came back to bite her in the ass.

As it stands right now, if she had been living on her own in America instead of in England where the health care is awesome, she would still be unmedicated and untreated and unable to see a doctor or a psychiatrist because she would not be able to afford it. In reality, she would be dead right now and all because health care costs an arm and a leg. As it stands she is now medicated and doing perfectly fine thanks to the socialized health care of the military and the socialized health care in England.

Back to my original point. I found two articles today that made me shake my head and wonder what the hell is wrong with people.

"At the G-20 economic summit that wrapped up Friday in Pennsylvania, Obama told a story about an unnamed foreign leader who privately told the president he didn't understand the at-times contentious debate over changing the health care system.

"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you. That doesn't make sense to me,'" Obama said, quoting the world leader he declined to identify."

That right there sets the mood for the entire country right now. Obama is trying to guarantee the health for every single person in this country and people are comparing him to one of the most evil men in history. A man who started a war that left half of the world in flames, who created a brutal oppressed society and burned books. How the hell can you compare them together?
How evil must YOU be if you would deny your fellow human being the right to be healthy for the cost of several trips to McDonald's several times a month. Are you that selfish that you would rather thousands die because they have a life-threatening diseases that is most likely nothing they could have done in their normal everyday life to prevent it?

Read this article about some normal everyday heroes and see the kind of people that need this health care because they cannot afford insurance. www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6639046.html

There is also the argument about illegal immigrants coming into our country and using the healthcare system as well and you using your tax money to pay for them. I've got news for you, what the hell do you think you're doing with two wars right now in the middle east? You're paying for Iraqi and Afghani citizens to have food and medicine. Whenever there is a tsunami in the far east, you're paying for the US Air Force to airlift food and medicines to them. They aren't American citizens, who is up in arms about that?

The fact of the matter is that they are your fellow human beings and they deserve to have the same chance at life that you do. Yes there are the lazy bastards out there who choose not to have a job and to lay about for months but again, they are your fellow human beings and they deserve the same quality health care that you have.

I'm sorry that this first entry is so long but I have to start somewhere.

I hope that you'll stay tuned, please feel free to comment...

and whatever you do...

Don't quote me on that.
